Nothing can turn a happy person into a miserable person quite like a cold.
Granted getting a cold is a lot more pleasant than getting the flu, which the rest of my family got, but colds are their own unique type of unpleasant.
Yup, for the last week or so I got the pleasure (very exaggerated) of hosting a cold. I'm actually not quite sure if it's actually a cold or if it's allergies, but I assume it's a cold because over the last week, five days out of seven there's been snow on the ground.
But yeah, I got to suffer through a sore throat, stuffy nose, headache and - the newest addition - a clogged throat thanks to all the mucus. Yaaaay.
I'm still fighting this damned cold, but unlike today, my last week's choices of what I would do while fighting it were pretty bad. Basically what I did was mope around, blowing my nose and whining about my throat for two days, then I did something really stupid one day, and then went back to whining, nose-blowing and moping.
Which brings me to my experiment. Boy, was this stupid.
Basically, what I did was, a few days ago (I can't remember which day exactly) I was starting to get better. And I was hanging out in my room, getting ready to do studies when, as the excellent procrastinator that I am, I decided to check YouTube.
It started off innocent - just a couple PewDiePie videos, but then, things became hardcore.
I wanted new music so I opened a bunch of tabs to look up Marina and the Diamonds songs (because now I'm obsessed with that band weee!). Then, I proceeded to play with my phone. A lot. I also read some manga.
By this time it was about midnight, and I was unconcerned. I searched through my subscription list and found a new Dansnotonfire video, which reminded me that I hadn't watched his previous one. I then watched a crapton of Dan's and Phil's videos.
But I didn't stop there. Pssh, don't make me laugh.
I started looking up Homestuck MEPs at this point. Then I got the inspiration to look up CMVs, where I discovered my newlyfound love for an amateur cosplay group that I currently can't remember the name of.
By the time I had reached a JohnDave CMV that I found particularly appealing I finally noticed the time.
Six. In. The. Morning.
At this point any sane person would have gone to sleep, but never once have I claimed to be sane.
I looked outside to the rising sun and thought to myself "Wow, I'm not tired at all."
And that's when I decided I could make it the whole next day on nothing but coffee.
And SOMEWHERE in this half-asleep haze I decided I'd record my whole day to make sure I did plenty of work while I was feeling so awake.
(I feel like I'm reporting what I did while drunk, but I've never drank a day in my life. OTL)
So, not only did I do aaaalll this stupid crap, but I also decided somewhere around eight o'clock that I was going to go on a walk that day with Jr.
And I did.
For an hour.
In the snow.
With a cold.
I repeat,
I DID SOMETHING REAAAALLLY STUPID.
So yeah, I passed out somewhere near three o'clock in the afternoon and didn't wake up until eleven at night. Then I did my studies.
My cold only got worse after that and today I got the gem of having to deal with flem. My throat has never hurt so bad before....
I think I only wrote this journal to complain about my cold, but I kinda went off on a tangent again. Huh. Whoops.
By the way, I finished a bunch of drawings (which I'll be submitting soon). I've started a new story, but I don't think I'll be submitting it any time soon. It's one of those things I think I wanna finish before sharing. I'm starting a new fanfic (though I said this before). It's another I wanna make sure I get a bit done before starting to submit it and I think I'll be submitting it to my FF.NET account.
So that's about it~ I'm gonna go see what's new 'round here now.

A List
- Cats.
- Clear bodies of water are the best.
- It is possible that cat lovers attract dog lovers more often that dog lovers attract fellow dog lovers?
- Forget-me-nots and impatiens are pretty.
- Bearded Dragons are utterly adorable.
- I still don't know what you call people who have animal parts (ears, tail, etc) other than cat parts other than "not-cat-nekos". -A-
- Colds suck, but not as bad as the flu. Silver linings.
- Banshee's are the best mythological creature you may not argue with me about this.
- Assbutt.
- "blighterpoop"
- I think I've spent an hour on this journal alone.
- The things I could have done in an hour.
- I
Long time, no see!

It's so freaking good to be home.
Limited hours.
*siiiiigh* I got collared about my school work again. My instructional supervisor called sometime last week. Apparently I hadn't been doing enough to get caught up, much to my dismay. Words like "disappointed" and "failing" were slung around and I've been working a lot harder ever since. I've been finishing up around 9 pm lately and while I'm going to try to work on that to see if I can't get myself started a bit earlier so that I can also finish earlier, it's probably going to take a little while. It's been rather difficult keeping up with everything outside of school work right now, but I'm still going to try to log in when I can~ nwn BUT j
Well, I beat Off.
Has anyone noticed how I always like being obscenely late getting into any series that everyone's suddenly obsessed with? Well, Off took the cake for the amount of time it took me to become obsessed with the craze.
I started the game because I had saved a link to the download a long while back and yesterday Ronald had come up to my room wanting to watch someone play a game, because he's become very interested in video games, but only likes to play a select few and prefers watching someone else play the rest. So I decided, since my options were either a game of my own or FF7, and since I'd already beaten Ao Oni and Ib as many times as I had t

Well, at least you're feeling better! And I highly recommend a hot shower after an all-nighter like that. It also helps with the cold, so double-win! XD
